These Terms govern your use of StartSieve ("StartSieve", "we", "us", "our"), a service operated from Italy. By accessing or using the website or product, you ("you", "user") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights you have under EU or Italian law.
1.Your agreement with StartSieve
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and StartSieve. They apply when you browse the site, create an account, submit ideas, buy credits, or subscribe to a plan.
You agree to use StartSieve responsibly, keep your account credentials secure, and only submit information you have the right to submit. You must meet the age requirement below to create an account.
2.Who can use StartSieve (18+)
StartSieve is an AI-powered product intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. By using StartSieve, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or close it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has used StartSieve, contact us at support@startsieve.com.
3.What StartSieve provides
StartSieve provides tools for structured idea evaluation. The product collects inputs, runs them through configured pipelines, generates reports, saves account history, and suggests next steps for further research.
Evaluations are informational only and are not legal, financial, investment, hiring, medical, or tax advice. You remain responsible for your own business decisions and for independently verifying claims before acting on them.
- Pipeline output is a decision aid, not a guarantee that an idea will succeed or fail.
- Research summaries can be incomplete, stale, or based on imperfect public information.
- Do not rely on StartSieve as your only review before spending meaningful time or money.
4.Accounts and access
Some features require an account, a verified email address, a payment method, or an active entitlement. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens through your account.
We may limit, suspend, or close access if an account is used for abuse, fraud, unauthorised security testing, unlawful content, or behaviour that harms the service or other users. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
5.Your ideas and content
You keep ownership of the ideas, notes, and materials you submit. We do not sell, license, or publish your ideas, and we do not train AI models on them.
By submitting content, you grant StartSieve the limited permission needed to store it, process it, display it back to you, generate outputs, and provide support — including sending it to the AI sub-processors described in our Privacy Policy. You must not submit confidential third-party information, regulated personal data, trade secrets you are not authorised to share, or anything that infringes another person’s rights.
6.Acceptable use
You may not use StartSieve to break the law, infringe rights, attack systems, scrape the service, reverse-engineer protected parts of the product, resell access without permission, or generate content intended to deceive or harm others. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out the full rules and applies as part of these Terms.
7.Credits, subscriptions, and billing
StartSieve may offer pay-as-you-go credits, memberships, promotional grants, or other paid features. Prices, included usage, renewal periods, and expiry rules are shown before you purchase. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider.
Refunds, withdrawal rights, failed-payment handling, cancellation timing, taxes, and how unused credits are treated are set out in our Refund & Billing Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Credits may be deducted when an evaluation starts, completes, or reaches another clearly disclosed milestone.
- Subscription benefits may differ between plans; we give clear notice before material changes to active plans.
- Promotional balances may have different expiry or transfer rules than purchased balances.
8.Availability and changes
StartSieve is a development-stage product and changes frequently. Features may be added, removed, renamed, delayed, or limited as we learn what users need.
The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failures, third-party provider incidents, security work, or experiments. We aim to communicate significant disruptions through product or support channels.
9.Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the product is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that, StartSieve is not liable for business outcomes, lost profits, missed opportunities, indirect or consequential damages, or decisions you make based on generated output. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10.Suspension and termination
You can stop using StartSieve and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences already granted, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits) continue to apply.
11.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform to try to resolve disputes out of court.
12.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product or the law changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above and give reasonable notice of material changes through the product or by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
